Schedule: Full Time
Shift: Wend-Th-Fr-Sa (0800-1830 with half hour lunch). Split days Winter Garden and Celebration.
The community you’ll be caring for:
- AdventHealth Winter Garden is a state-of-the-art emergency facility featuring board-certified physicians trained in the care of both adults and children
- The 97,415-square-foot, three-story facility opened in February 2016 across from Winter Garden Village at Fowler Groves
- It is AdventHealth’s ninth campus in Central Florida. Outpatient imaging, lab, and surgical services, as well as primary care and specialty physician offices, are all available at one convenient location
The role you’ll contribute:
•Assesses patient ability to perform speech language safely and effectively, cognitive and swallowing skills
•Designs and implements a treatment plan of care utilizing Practice Standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines and patient's needs.
Monitors patient response and progress to treatment and modifies treatment plan as appropriate. •Documents and Charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department /hospital policy and procedures
•Provides discharge planning assistance and information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and follow-up services
• Oversees the care provided by therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards
•Meets productivity standard as defined by department
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
•Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
•A license or provisional license in the State as a Speech and Language Pathologist
PREFERRED:
•Certificate of Clinical Competence by American Speech & Hearing Association (ASHA
