The community you’ll be caring for: Pediatric Speech Therapy patients
The role you’ll contribute:
When you join our team of over 40 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians and staff willing to carry on AdventHealth’s mission in the communities we serve.
You will evaluate and conduct medically indicated Speech Language pathology treatment programs for patients in our Palm Coast clinic.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform speech language, cognitive and swallowing skills
- Performs evaluations and re-evaluations according to standards and recommended techniques. Establishes speech therapy diagnosis, implements and adapts an individualized treatment plan of care (including appropriate goal setting, treatment activities and frequency). Discharges patients when maximum benefit has been achieved and/or according to standards of practice and payer guidelines
- Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department /hospital policy and procedures
- Identifies the need for patient/caregiver education and utilizes each opportunity for teaching on a planned or spontaneous basis. Documents education with understanding as appropriate
- Oversees the care provided by therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) SLP Certification
- BLS Certification
- Active State of Florida Speech Language Therapist or Provisional license
