Job Summary
Provides leadership through planning, organizing, directing, implementing, evaluating, and coordinating services in Physical Therapy (PT). Provides oversight for information technology, materials management, facility needs, equipment needs, clinical use evaluation, billing, budget, financial management, operational analysis, and reporting within this area. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in all age ranges. Assures quality care aimed at restoring function and/or preventing disability is delivered in a cost effective manner.
Job Duties
- Provides leadership, guidance, and administrative support to all members of the Physical Therapy team including both in and outpatient services.
- Participates as a member of committees and departmental and divisional leadership teams.
- Facilitates team based problem solving within and between departments and divisions.
- Fosters teamwork and cooperation among Rehabilitation team members.
- Develops an effective working relationship with other leaders to assure teamwork in all activities in the hospitals and clinic sites.
- Interacts with hospital and clinic staff to assure efficient provision of rehabilitation services.
- Coordinates therapy times with the inpatient rehab departments.
- Utilizes team building concepts to effectively empower team members by serving as a mentor, teacher, and coach.
- Facilitates development, maintenance, and success of unit teams.
- Provides feedback to team regarding performance and job related issuesOversees recruitment, orientation, supervision, retention, evaluation, competency assessment, credentialing, development, and continuing education in area.
- Works to improve the work unit, department, division and system by developing performance expectations and goals that focus on service, quality and cost.
- Addresses patient and employee satisfaction, clinical quality, financial performance, efficiency and service excellence.
- Communicates a clear description of performance expectations and goals to employees, encouraging and supporting their participation.
- Defines patient focused performance parameters.
- Assesses and addresses employee, management, and patient concerns.
- Facilitates staff's management of patients and customer related issues.
- Coordinates and oversees development, implementation, and achievement of budgets, which attain unit, department, division, and system goals.
- Facilitates business and clinical decision making issues involved in materials procurement and usage.
- Monitors and maintains cost effective utilization of resources.
- Oversees inventory control and equipment management.
- Ensures that the patient safety Ensures compliance with all regulatory standards.

Position Details
* This position will oversee the Rehabilitation for all LIFE Geisinger centers. Travel to all centers is required.

Bachelor's Degree-Related Field of Study (Required), Master's Degree-Related Field of Study (Preferred)
Experience
Minimum of 2 years-Managerial/Supervisory (Required), Minimum of 5 years-Clinical (Required)
Certification(s) and License(s)
Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (Pennsylvania) - State of Pennsylvania; Licensed Physical Therapist (Pennsylvania) - State of Pennsylvania; Licensed Occupational Therapist (Pennsylvania) - State of Pennsylvania
