Harc Stepping Stones Birth to Three Program is looking for an experienced Birth to Three professional to provide speech-language therapy services under the philosophical guidelines of the CT Birth to Three System.
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct support to families and children participating in the Birth to Three Program. The SLP assists trans-disciplinary teams with the development of the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP). Trans-disciplinary team include BCBA's, SLP's OT's, PT's, Special Education Teachers and LCSW's. The SLP follows through with IFSP activities and documents progress. The SLP communicates evaluation results, goals and progress to parents/family and assists them with obtaining additional community resources as needed. Services occur in the natural learning environment such as the home or childcare. Birth to Three utilizes a coaching style of interaction and teams are arranged by geographic regions.
The successful candidate will report directly to the program director and will service as the coordinator to a caseload of eligible children, will consult on cases coordinated by providers of differing professional disciplines, will conduct eligibility evaluations, and on-going developmental assessments in compliance with Federal and State regulations.
Degree Requirements: M.S. Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Must hold CT certification/license as established by Dept. of Health
Demonstrates experience working with families and children
Ability to work flexible hours
Full, part time and per-diem schedules available
Driver’s license required
