The Children's Hospital of New Orleans Division of Plastic Surgery is seeking a full-time academic craniofacial orthodontist to join our multidisciplinary craniofacial center (http://www.chnola.org/CleftLip). Founded in 1986, the center has 4 fellowship-trained craniofacial surgeons, and is ACPA accredited.
The orthodontist would guide all in-house treatment for the pre- and post-surgical orthodontic care of team patients, including naso-alveolar molding, appliance fabrication, distractor management, non-surgical ear molding, and routine orthodontic care. Additionally, the orthodontist will be involved in coordination of orthodontic care with community partners in outlying areas of the gulf south.
The center comprises a dental laboratory, dental chairs, and a Morita Accuitomo 170 cone beam CT. Active participation in craniofacial research utilizing our existing research coordinator is expected.
Interested candidates should send a letter of interest and CV to Gerhard S. Mundinger. M.D. at firstname.lastname@example.org.
