Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist – Speech Language Pathology
If you aspire to give young patients a voice in the world, we have the perfect opportunity for you. We’re seeking an experienced pediatric speech language pathologist to join our Speech Language Pathology team Full Time (Monday-Friday). In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing complete diagnostic assessment and therapeutic procedures for pediatric patients, specifically for NICU, PICU and outpatients. In doing so, you’ll exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values.
Effectively administers and interprets diagnostic testing for inpatients and outpatients, related to speech pathology
Recommends therapeutic plan based on assessments
Provides targeted therapies in consultation with physicians and other professionals
Minimum of a master's level degree and holds or is eligible for Illinois licensure in Speech Language Pathology
Minimum of 3 years post-Fellow experience is required
Hospital based experience is critical and required for this position
Craniofacial experience/ background is highly desired
Video fluoroscopic swallow study experience is highly desired
Intermediate to advanced level of clinical skills, with advanced competence in specialty
Possess excellent problem-solving skills and analytic ability to appropriately diagnose clients' problems and develop rehabilitation
Ability to approach each situation with an open mind and positive attitude; ability to work and interact well with others so that customer service remains a priority
Capable of handling a busy, varying caseload; possess good organizational skills
