This position will support LLUMC's strategic plan and the organization's mission to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ, while embracing the core values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Wholeness. Reports to the Rehab Clinical Manager/Director of Rehab Therapy Services. The Speech-Language Pathologist provides advanced patient care including evaluations, goal setting, treatment planning, family training and the application of treatment techniques in accordance with designated practice act and department policy and procedure. Responsible for providing inpatient care as per physician's orders. Supervises non- CCS paneled staff as requested. Participates in case conferences and discharge planning meetings. Works with the program coordinator/case manager and or MTU/school representative communicating/coordinating recommendations for ongoing therapy and equipment needs upon discharge. These services may be provided for both the LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Performs other duties as needed.

Able to read, write legibly, speak in English with professional quality; communicate effectively, in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; perform basic math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information; pay close attention to detail.
Master`s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders required. Minimum of one year of experience in a medical speech-language pathology or rehabilitation setting. Current Speech-Language Pathology licensure, ASHA certification, and CPR. CCS-Paneled required if assigned to Pediatric Rehabilitation or fulfill CCS paneling requirements within twelve months from hired date.
